The Faces of Depression

Sadness and depression can affect us at any time on our life but when it's prolonged and appearing for greater than 6 weeks it becomes problematic and interrupts many aspects. It doesn't always have to look at like sadness sometimes it looks like anger or irritability or lack of concentration or withdrawal and isolation. Sometimes it shows up as mood swings or as overeating or under eating behaviors. Depression can be genetic or the result of a traumatic event or situational such as grief for the loss of a job the depression that's prolonged and intrusive in a person's life benefits from the support of professionals and a change in diet in lifestyle management.
